Power in the Problem HBCU Homecoming Tour

September 26, 2025

For too long, Black and Brown communities have been portrayed through the lens of crisis—pollution, poverty, incarceration, and disinvestment. But we know that they have always been sources of wisdom, innovation, and resilience.

This fall, Dream.Org is launching the Power in the Problem HBCU Homecoming Tour, a traveling HBCU panel and green career fair to celebrate Black brilliance, connect students and community members to green career pathways and build civic power.

Power in the Problem Homecoming Tour Stops:

Each tour stop will feature:

  • A mini job fair featuring employers and orgs offering internships, fellowships, and green career pathways
  • An inspiring conversation with alumni and leaders who have turned challenges into opportunities
  • Interactive stations where you can pledge to vote, create your voting plan, and learn how your voice drives change
  • And more! Free entry, free food, and free shuttle!

“This is more than a tour—it’s a multigenerational convergence of culture, empowerment, and opportunity. We’re not just honoring our past. We’re investing in our future.” - Jasmine Davenport, Senior Director of Dream.Org's Green For All.
