Lots of things attacks the server are worms, viruses, and bots. Linux and windows uses different methods for the data protection and data manipulation. The main problem associated with windows Dedicated Servers is that it’s cost. It cost more than 200$.the dedicated server is used for the large websites which will load a lot of times per day, having high traffic and the application or games which is to be played online, it can only be done on dedicated Servers. While using dedicated server is optimal solutions for the many situations there are also some disadvantages associated with it. They are of high cost when compared to the shared servers. Most of the hosting packages used in the shared server are very inexpensive. The dedicated servers can not be used by the start up companies since the total cost have to be accepted by the company it is not the case in the shared company. The server cost can be shared by the company. The main disadvantage of the dedicated server hosting is the lack of the free scripts and the additional features which the shared server is providing. Linux dedicated servers can be used as the central hub. It is also used for the VOIP application. Linux is always known for its security features. Rather than in windows operating system in Linux operating system we can even see the internal memory allocation for a single variable. The .exe files will not run on Linux operating system. Lot of systems in the world is using windows as its operating system. So the hackers always used to create viruses and worms on the windows. So the viruses will not run on the Linux system. But the disadvantage in the Linux system is when you want to load a MS service in the Linux ,the service provided by the Linux is not that much better than the windows environment particularly in that environment.
