The second type is double deadbolt, where you require key to open the door from inside as well. Then there is a third type, which is a hybrid of single and double deadbolt. It has a rosary on the inside lock while you can lock and open it from key as well if needed. Knob locks- Knob locks these locks are lockable by turning the knob.These kind of locks are used for residential buildings but these are not actually very safe for that purpose. These locks are ideal for hotels and other such commercial buildings. Wall mounted locks- These locks are mounted in walls and therefore are considered very safe and hard to break. These locks are generally installed at the time of construction yet are very easy to install even into the existing buildings. Rim locks - These are the locks which can be used in all residential buildings as well as the commercial buildings. These locks are screwed into the mortise hardware in the middle of the door.
