After returning tired but happy from the NYC and Barcelona affiliate summits, we’ve had a few weeks to digest the crazy rollercoaster events that these conventions consist of. Most of all, we were thrilled to meet our partners face to face, to get to know them and to discuss affiliate strategy with them. However, looking back over these meetings, many forex affiliates seemed to have a lot of the same misconceptions that were preventing them from reaching their maximum potential, and so we’ve decided to dedicate this article to dealing with these issues once and for all.

Lesson 1: Targeting Primed Markets

Many affiliates rightly think that increasing their online presence will probably increase their leads. However, most of them neglect the fact that quality trumps quantity. Spreading random links and banners all over the place isn’t likely to get you much payback for your efforts. Instead, always look to place your links among content that is relevant to your product. 2: Getting Social

For today’s affiliate, ignoring the medium of social trading networks is like shooting one’s self in the foot. Social networks were made for information sharing, and enable you to spread your marketing message quickly and effectively. However, don’t think that news about your product will spread by itself.
