The 2300 Jamb mount is designed for light residential use where the handicap automatic door will be used primarily with an automatic door opener. It is not designed for applications with multi users who do not use the handicap door opener to open the door. This automatic door opener is attached to the jamb above the handicap automatic door and pushes the door open. Handicapped door openers should always be installed out of the weather. If your handicap automatic door opens to the outside then the jamb mount unit is your best choice. You will need at least 6” of clearance between the top of the door and the ceiling to allow clearance for the height of this handicap door opener. This automatic door opener opens the door when it receives a wireless signal from one of our optional hand held remotes (#4440T or #4440TK) or a wireless wall switch (#4466). The handicap automatic door may be opened manually with slight resistance similar to the 5th gear of a car. Electric strike lock. You will need to purchase our electric strike lock #4560S if you need to automatically unlatch the handicap automatic door when it opens or you require security for an exterior door. Without this the automatic door opener will shut down for safety reasons if it attempts to open while the handicap automatic door is latched. If you are able to open the handicap automatic door by pushing against it with your back you will not need the electric strike. Keyless Entry. A coded keyless entry #4437S is available to enable secure access from the outside should you prefer this option to a hand held remote or wall switch for your handicap door opener. Battery Backup. Should there be a need for handicap door openers to function when the power goes out our #4403BB battery backup for emergency egress is the best choice. Note: We recommend 4560S strike when door security is required on your handicap automatic door. Installation Ease • Complete instructions are packed with all handicapped door openers • No modification of the door or jambs is required to install an automatic door opener • Plugs right into a regular 115vac wall outlet-9ft cord and plug included with all handicap door openers • Virtually maintenance free (a couple of drops of oil and a bit of grease every year) Versatile Applications • Fits in most interior and some exterior handicap automatic door applications • Left and right hand handicap door openers are available • Jamb mount (push door open) or door mount (pull door open) handicapped door openers available |
